Schtitt's doctrine, stated at its barest: the court is not a place you adjust to but a second world you build where the outer world's conditions — cold, wind, tiredness, the eyelash in the eye — simply do not obtain. The whole metaphysics of the regimen is here: the 23.8-by-8.2-meter rectangle is a sheltering second reality, stripped to you, a tool, a ball, and one other, and the discipline is the labor of staying inside it.
