Stice comes to Lyle: Stice offers his sweating planes as payment
Stice offers up the planes of his torso and forehead. He wears one of his own personal towels, a black one. He is slim but wiry and beautifully muscled, and sweats freely and well.
Context
Stice pays Lyle in the currency the weight room runs on — his own worked body, held out to be read. He "offers up the planes of his torso and forehead," a beautifully-muscled instrument that "sweats freely and well," which in Lyle's economy is a compliment about solvency: this is a body that produces the coin. The Darkness's standing with the guru is underwritten by exactly two things, his sweat and his prospects, and here the sweat is on display, offered up.
