the Big Buddy sessions: disappear into the loop
No wasted motion, egoless strokes, no flourishes or tics or excesses of wrist. [...] You're supposed to disappear into the loop and then carry that disappearance out with you, to play.
Context
The SyberVision visualization cartridge runs Stan Smith's forehand as a seamless hypnotic loop, and its pedagogy is egoless self-erasure: "no wasted motion, egoless strokes," and the instruction to "disappear into the loop and then carry that disappearance out with you, to play." This is Schtitt's self-transcendence doctrine turned into instructional hardware — the body drilled by watching a flawless body until the self dissolves into pure repeated motion. The conditioning is explicit: E.T.A. kids are trained to read the ball's very seams. (The Viewing-Room medium/optics is film-optics'; OURS is the body-training loop.)
