Madame Psychosis's radio show (pp. 182–183)

Concealment maintained even inside her own workplace, as a one-way arrangement. Madame Psychosis works the whole hour an arm's length from the engineer and is "hidden from all view by a jointed trip-tych screen of cream chiffon," present only as "a silhouette… cleanly limned against the screen," and "[t]he student engineer has never once seen Madame Psychosis enter or leave WYYY." She broadcasts to thousands while remaining invisible to the one man beside her: the screen is an operational veil, a device that lets its wearer see and speak out while being seen by no one — the exact one-way-mirror logic Marathe's U.H.I.D. veil weaponizes at Ennet House (149), here built into radio architecture.
