Lenz's disguise stripped

The disguise comes apart in the enemy's hands and becomes evidence against its wearer. The mustache — the mannequin-promoted centerpiece of Lenz's cover — is now a physical object a Nuck brandishes "out at them like a blade," the fake facial hair turned into a weapon-tell held up to identify the man it was meant to hide; and the wig earns the taunt, the Nucks vowing to gut "this sick gutless U.S.A. bâtard in his womanly wig." The concealment is stripped, waved, and used to shame and mark him — exactly what a disguise is supposed to prevent. (Earlier the same night "a mustacheless Lenz […] oozes through the door," the cover already coming off before the Nucks ever tear the rest away.)
