the Antitoi raid: the raid's object — Québec-on-Québec violence for the anti-O.N.A.N. weapon

The raid's whole political stake: the A.F.R. slaughters a low-tier Québécois cell on U.S. soil to seize "this Copy-Capable item," hunting "the 585-rpm-drive TP... for running Masters." The samizdat is the anti-O.N.A.N. weapon, and the search for a duplicable Master is the war's central object (cf. 098's copy-census, 184's "Where Is The Master Buried"). That the violence is Québécois-on-Québécois — the A.F.R. killing the Antitois, not any American — makes the point the anthology keeps making: the insurgency's ferocity is turned first on its own, and the U.S. is merely the ground on which Québec's factions settle who will wield the weapon against it.
