the Antitoi raid: the homeward vector — the reconfigured geography at death

Even Lucien's dying flight is routed by the political map: his soul is "catapulted home over fans and the Convexity's glass palisades at desperate speeds, soaring north" — the E.W.D. catapults and the Concavity's Lucite walls, the very apparatus of experialism, are the terrain his homeward vision must clear to reach the Gaspé. The Reconfiguration has redrawn even the afterlife's geography: home is now on the far side of a toxic border, reachable only by overflying the fans and palisades that made his people insurgents. (The lyrical death-vision and the Gaspé memories are character's; landed here only as the border-apparatus geography.)
