Context
The interrogators' identity confirms the campaign's authorship: "Mlle. Luria P———... (and who was not really Swiss)" — the woman working the Desert (147's "winning necessary confidences"), the Tine/Luria intelligence channel's other end (087/091), here running Orin's interview alongside a Swiss hand-model and a Swiss-accented handicapped fan (Marathe's cover-nation, 156). The parenthetical "not really Swiss" quietly closes the loop on the whole Swiss cipher: "Switzerland" was always Québec, and the A.F.R. operatives who deploy the Swiss cover are the same insurgency whose war aims and blood-ledger the anthology has traced. (The tumbler/roaches technical-interview method is surveillance-disguise's; landed here is the operative's identity and the campaign's convergence.)
