Marathe & Steeply: the A.F.R.'s doctrine, from inside
This was the genius of Guillaume DuPlessis, what M. DuPlessis taught the cells, even if F.L.Q. and les Fils did not understand. Much less the Albertans, all crazy inside their head. We of the A.F.R., we understand.
Context
A.F.R. strategy articulated from the inside: "the genius of Guillaume DuPlessis" was to grasp that America has already chosen death-by-pleasure, so "the exact time of death and way of death, this no longer matters" — the samizdat merely formalizes a suicide already underway. It is the doctrine that separates the A.F.R. from the F.L.Q., les Fils, and the Albertans (who "did not understand"): terror not as coercion toward a demand but as the mere delivery of an end the target has itself invited. The whole late-book campaign follows from this reading.
