This is le jeu du prochain train — the A.F.R.'s foundational rite of chosen death (n304's origin story, 121's blood-ledger) — reaching Boston as a coke-addict's lurid anecdote. The politics of the wheelchair-assassins' self-sacrifice (098's "willing volunteers in chairs") has become American folklore about crazy Canadians, the ideology flattened into a party story.
