The A.F.R.'s program stated as maximalist demand, and the datum that severs them from every other cell: "nothing less total than the total return of all Reconfigured territories to American administration," a 175-kilometer waste-and-fan exclusion zone along Canadian soil, "the removal of all fission/waste/fusion annulars north of the 42°-N. Parallel, and the secession of Canada in toto from the Organization of North American Nations." Where "the conventional Separatist phalances demanding only the independent secession of provincial Quebec," the A.F.R. want the whole Reconfiguration undone and Canada pulled out of O.N.A.N. entirely — anti-Reconfiguration maximalism, which is precisely why the essay argues their affiliation with the ordinary secessionists "tend […] to be contradicted" by "stated agendas." The A.F.R. are the switch (n110) taken to its literal, total extreme.
