Joelle's walk and the U.H.I.D. card — "She’s had her last fling with…"
She’s had her last fling with film cartridges. Jim had used her several times. Jim at the end had filmed her at prodigious and multi-lensed length, and refused to share what he’d made of it, and died w/o a note. Her mental name for the man had been ‘Infinite Jim.’
Context
The Jim memory suite opens at the F.A.O. Schwartz anti-ad: Joelle's memory of being filmed is intact, but its object — what Jim made of it — was withheld and died with him. A memory of the Entertainment's making, held by its star, with the crucial frame missing; "Infinite Jim" is her memory's own filing label for the man.
