Video-recorded suicide notes and farewells from the terminally ill had a brief vogue, but by the Year of the Trial-Size Dove Bar they were seen as tasteless and "trailer-park tacky" (p. 999), with the very tackiest staging farewells through Tableaux of famous dead celebrities.
