The sermon's payoff, and the cartography-of-self pole stated outright: asked where citizenship in the second world is applied for, Hal locates the whole bounded territory inside the skull — "The game's two heads' one world." The 23.8-by-8.2-meter country turns out to be a mental map two players agree to inhabit; Schtitt sweeps the pointer in an ironic morendo arc, laughs, and says "Play." Lands hard against Year of Glad, where Hal can no longer occur anywhere at all.
