Context
Strategy #7 is an engine for manufacturing believed sincerity — the theme's manufactured-affect economy weaponized for seduction. The pitch fabricates vulnerability to order: you flash "conflict in your eyes," bite a knuckle, and finally "ask the Subject in all tortured sincerity if she thinks your involuntarily finding her so visibly female and attractive makes you a bad husband," pleading with her "to evaluate the like integrity of your heart." And the diabolical refinement is right here — deployed by a man who's actually married, the counterfeit feeling briefly becomes real, "you and the Subject both, however briefly, get to believe it." Sincerity as a product that generates genuine momentary belief in its own manufacturer: not the absence of feeling but feeling produced on demand, indistinguishable in the moment from the real thing.
