The entire endnote: four words unpacking "F&C," the major Orin announces Joelle holds at the Legal Seafood introductory supper — the line that makes the director "slump and cringe" (150, whose entry carries the scene side). The note's flat "Jargon:" label does the work: Film/Cartridge Studies is established academic shorthand, a discipline settled enough to have jargon, and the P.G.O.A.T. arrives in JOI's orbit already credentialed in the field that studies him.
