The terminal project starts near the top of the list: before Subsidization, before Latrodectus Mactans, the entertainment that will kill is already being attempted — and already "unfinished and unseen." The list carries the whole chain: (II) "attempt at remake," (III) "remake of Infinite Jest (I), (II)," (IV) with Pam Heath(?) and 'Madame Psychosis'(?) both question-marked, then (V?). Five tries across the entire directorial life; the samizdat is not a late swerve but the career's other constant. The first attempted lead is Judith Fukuoka-Hearn, the narrator of the U.S.T.A. advertorials — the commercial-entertainment project begins with commercial-documentary personnel, long before Joelle.
