E.T.A.'s curriculum as JOI's estate: astronomy swapped for optics because the founder's lens lab is physically in the tunnel, oratory converted to film studies because his equipment and his loyal crew were "lying around not to exploit." The academy's children are literally educated through the dead filmmaker's apparatus — the theme institutionalized, endowed in perpetuity.
