Orin flies at the Mile-High halftime show

Spectation caught in the act of eating its own tail. The stadium's noise is fed by "the oxides from Mile-High's thousands of open mouths," and at its peak the roar stops being a response to anything on the field and becomes a response to itself — a crowd roaring at its own roar until it feels like the loop could detonate. This is the theme's picture of mass spectation with the object subtracted: an audience so total it no longer needs a spectacle, only the sensation of being an audience, the collective mouth open and consuming the sound of its own hunger. Orin, harnessed in fake wings above it, is inside the machine but not of it, the one open mouth that is screaming that it hates this.
