Context
Carlisle reads "openly hide" as analogous to U.H.I.D.: the veil doctrine of hiding in open sight, debased into a paranoid's costume — no deformity anywhere on stage, so the passage touches the theme only through his analogy. Recorded, not adopted. ("[A]monymous" as written — Lenz's idiom.)
