A direct assault upon the Academy of Tennis itself was impossible. A.F.R.s fear nothing in this hemisphere except tall and steep hillsides. Their attack must not be direct.
Context
The wheelchair's one tactical limit, stated as deadpan doctrine: the continent's most feared cell is defeated by a hill. E.T.A.'s hilltop site is a wheelchair-proof fortress by accident of grade, which is why everything that follows — the mirror, the bus, the false players — has to be a ruse rather than a raid. The disability the A.F.R. everywhere weaponizes is here, once, simply a disability.
