Rémy Marathe’s resting pulse rate was very low: no legs to require blood from the heart. He very rarely felt phantom pains, and then only in the stump of the left. All A.F.R.s have enormous arms, particularly upper arms.
Context
Dawn end of the mountainside serial, dropped flatly between myths: the A.F.R.'s physiology as plain medical fact. The legless body isn't pathos here, it's specs — lowered pulse, one stump that still ghosts, and the compensatory arms that make the whole organization's upper body a weapon. The collective A.F.R. body stated in Marathe's person.
