Kate Gompert and Ruth van Cleve supposedly went to hit an NA meeting in Inman Square and got supposedly mugged and separated, and then only Ruth van Cleve showed up back at the House, and Pat’s sworn out a P.C. warrant for Gompert because of the girl’s other psych and suicide issues.
Context
Calvin Thrust's bedside status report: Kate has gone missing after the purse-snatch trek (the reader knows she's drinking with Marathe at Ryle's), and the institutional response states her standing danger with bureaucratic flatness — a protective-custody warrant, sworn out on the assumption that an unaccounted-for Kate Gompert is a suicide risk by default.
