Context
The snatch ends with Kate abandoned at the pole while robber and pursuer dwindle up the street, and the last image collapses the difference between them: both figures are shrieking, both apparently for help, and neither is answered. On a crowded sidewalk full of people practicing not to look, the cry for help has become just more street noise, indistinguishable whether it comes from the one who was robbed or the one who did it.
