Evidence. Independently corroborated. Editor's typed suggestion + Wallace-side margin instruction + zero print occurrences. Documented by Michael Pietsch's December 1994 second-read letter (typed entries); execution instruction in the margin layer (interpretive register): red, p6, "J46 - 50 Eliminate all jamais vu" — alternate reading "J46 - So eliminate all jamais vu," both candidates stand; a green "True" beside the 683 entry is a moderately-confident reading (agreement that the thread never gelled).

Bears on. This difference bears on the following open questions: what broke Hal if not (only) DMZ; damage vs. emergence.

Further notes. Parallel to diff-cut-hal-drug-history: a second whole Hal-symptom thread removed at the composition level — the published Hal-state evidence base was actively pruned, which arguments-from-absence about Hal's condition should weigh. This is the single most cleanly documented executed cut in the archive: suggestion, assent-adjacent margin instruction, and verified zero print trace.
