Endnote 352 — the toothbrush-poisoning mystery

Recalls a January–February Y.D.A.U. episode in which someone coated selected 16-and-under players' toothbrushes with "betel-nut extract" (p. 1077), touching off panic and finger-pointing and sending half a dozen students to the dentist, before the tampering stopped as abruptly as it started — with, nine months on, still no known culprit or motive.
