Endnote 302 — Fortier's plan to force Marathe to watch
Marathe's betrayal has leaked the A.F.R.'s "pure-malice agenda" to the Office of Unspecified Services, perhaps by Fortier's design. Unknown to Marathe, Fortier means to make him view the Entertainment by force before copies are distributed — not from any doubt about the motive of Marathe's betrayal, but because Fortier ran the "jeux du prochain train" (p. 1055) that killed Marathe's older brothers and suspects Marathe of nursing dreams of revenge.
