What: Ambient presence in the E.T.A. grind, folded here rather than padded into separate beats: in the weight room Axford sits in a corner with one shoe off, doing something to his bare foot; at dawn drills the morning after I-Day he is sent down to hit with Shaw and Struck, bends at the waist during Schtitt's sermon trying to steer his dripping sweat into spelling something on the court, and is the cited source of the rumor that extracting the shattered monitor from Otis Lord's head required flown-in expertise. Nothing individuating occurs; he acts as one of the squad.
