The Experialist migration — mass relocation south off the reconfigured map

• When: the great southward migration begins in the Year of the Whopper (YW, 2002)
• What: The Reconfiguration depopulates the ceded northeast: a mass migration south, which the administration's Cabinet strains (in the film) to spin as heroic "eminent nondomain" and a "renewal-grade brand of sacrifice" rather than "refugee"-ism — the term "refugee" to be "plausibly denied" so long as no wagons are pulled by curvy-horned bovines (anything so horned "gets shot on sight") and Rod's operatives hand out free Winnie-the-Pooh toddler-wear to keep the under-six nakedness quotient down. Whole territories — the better part of four U.S. states, what used to be Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, upstate New York — become "property of Canada," abandoned to the annular wilderness. The migration is the human cost of the giveaway and the origin of the Concavity's feral legends.
