What: Hal, with no last class period and rushing to blast out to an anti-Substance meeting at "Q.R.S.-32A" in Natick, hurries through his P.M.'s — dispatching Shaw "1 and 3" before the regular P.M. players are even warming up. The shorthand's unit is never expanded (see Dating notes). The counterweight to event 10: whatever Shaw's climb past Axford is worth, the top of the squad runs through him at warm-up speed.
