• What: In the post-shower slump Stice leads the ritualized bitching about exhaustion ("Tard tard tard"), rubbing his crew cut, complaining that Schtitt stresses "the pubertyizing skeleton" a week before midterms; he fingers the red waistband-stripe a jock leaves and jokes "Boys, I ever become president, the first thing to go's elastic." When Freer sneers that Schtitt "just does what he's told like a good Nazi," Stice flares instantly — "What the hail is that supposed to mean?" — and gropes the carpet for something to throw: the Schtitt-loyalty of event 4, live and combustible. Hal frames the whole session (scene 036) as a staff-engineered ritual: a common enemy manufactured to bind the "deeply alone" players before a big competitive week.
