• When: UNDATED (Weston boyhood; the coinage predates Hal's own speech)
• What: The Incandenza pet-names are largely Orin's invention. Per Hal (to the "professional conversationalist" who is really JOI, scene 005), the term "the Moms" for Avril was coined by his brother — i.e. Orin — "As if there were more than one of her" (Joelle's later gloss). Orin also called his father "Himself," "The Mad Stork," and once, in a slip, "The Sad Stork"; and his private name for Joelle was the P.G.O.A.T.
