• What: A small dated beat in the long estrangement: after the Kentucky Christmas with Joelle's Personal Daddy and the Pyrex cellar, "Orin wired Marlon Bain and Ross Reat and the strabismic Nickerson that he was by all indications in love with somebody." Bain still holds the other end of this wire in YDAU — his letters treat the Orin-Joelle-Himself triangle as something he watched from adjacent rooms (event 16) — and his answer (3e) on the separation's cause is the sober, hedged version of what the wire announced.
