The razzle briefing: the Boston medical attaché and the mailed Entertainment

• What: Steeply relays the incident B.S.S. wants verified: a Saudi medical attaché (a "specialist of digesting") in metropolitan Boston received a cartridge of "the Entertainment" by ordinary mail, out of nowhere; the dead — the attaché, his Saudi wife, embassy staff, neighbors, and police — number "Upwards of twenty" per Steeply, "twenty-three human beings lost for all time" per Marathe's own tally moments later (clash cited as written; see Dating notes). B.S.S. wants to know whether the A.F.R. disseminated it, or made the attaché an example. Marathe denies both: "We have neither digestive medicals nor diplomatic entourages on any lists for action… We have, as one will say, larger seafood to cook." Steeply also floats the attaché's possible prior link to the auteur's widow.
