• What: Marathe grew up the youngest son of a miner in the Papineau / Lac de Deux Montaignes / St-Remi-d'Amherst region of extreme southwestern Québec; skating with his father, whose Kenbeck pacemaker (plutonium-239 pack, Briggs electrode) made a boxy bulge in his cardigan. His father assigned Rémy, the youngest, to enter any restaurant or shop first to check for a microwave or GC-type transmitter that could disrupt the pacemaker — a childhood conditioned by the father's fragility. He had at least two older brothers (event 2).
