• What: Her third, most serious attempt: a straightforward meds overdose — a hundred-ten Parnate, about thirty Lithonate capsules, and some old Zoloft she had kept instead of discarding. Her mother found her on the shag carpet, red and wet "like when I was a newborn," chewing the rug during the Parnate blackout. Sertraline + MAOI + that much lithium: a hypertensive crisis on the second day (metabolic retox) nearly killed her a second time; two days on ventilation after a Pump & Purge, then observation, then the psych ward. "A bona fide clinical admit... This girl had not been futzing around."
