• What: Passes the Shaw/54th memorial draped overnight by Québécois militants with a blade-stemmed fleur-de-lis; outside F.A.O. Schwartz, past a gauntlet of dealers, stops at an uncanny anti-ad — a 2-D wheelchaired man, face reddened with terrible joy, a conspicuously unlabelled black cartridge protruding from a slot in his palm; she removes the cartridge, looks at it, and shoves it home; a young dealer calls her Mama and asks where's the funeral at.
