JOI films her for the final cartridge — the filming, and the two accounts of what was shot

• When: start of YTSDB (2004); JOI killed himself "less than ninety days" after filming her (p. 231) — consistent with the 1 Apr YTSDB ruling; Notkin's and Joelle's accounts pin her appearance inside the sobriety window Xmas YTMP-1 Apr YTSDB (see event 27)
• What: JOI filmed Joelle's unveiled face for his final cartridge — per n.80 the "weird wobble-lensed maternal 'I'm-so-terribly-sorry' monologue-scene," shot at the brownstone, never shown to her; en route to that very shoot JOI discovered Avril's infidelity (the name rewritten in the Volvo window's steam); at Notkin's party Joelle wonders whether the thing made of her face was "a cage or really a door," puzzles over how a microwave could be rigged to run with the door open, and asks herself "Did she kill him, somehow, just inclining veilless over that lens?" (digest phrasing, p. 231). Content per Notkin (scene 159): Madame Psychosis as a maternal instantiation of Death — nude, gorgeous, hugely pregnant (an effect), face veiled or computer-blurred or anamorphosized — inclined over a crib's-eye camera with a strange extrusive lens, explaining in childlike language that Death is always female and maternal, and that the woman who kills you is your next life's mother, mothers' frantic love being amends for a murder neither remembers. Content per Joelle firsthand (scene 178): exactly two scenes — (1) a glass revolving-door loop, whirling endlessly with an epicene stranger each trying to follow the other; (2) the crib scene, camera bolted in a bassinet under JOI's self-made "auto-wobble" lens (built to reproduce a neonate's nystagmic visual field), Joelle leaning in over it in a flowing white gown delivering twenty-plus minutes of permutations of "I'm sorry" — "Not exactly veiled," and her face "wasn't important"; also revealed: "the son was lenses" (Mario carried them; Leith cameras). DISPUTED: the two testimonies disagree on nearly everything except the lens — cite both as written.
