Day, M.S." — whose grandiose, "foam-flecked" essay on Les Assassins des Fauteuils Rollents and Le Jeu du Prochain Train the E.T.A. student James Struck plagiarizes, straining to sanitize its Quaalude-and-red-wine "megalograndiosity" down into pubescent term-paper prose (identity Geoffrey Day = "G. T. Day, M.S." is an inferred linkage — same Medford junior college, same "manned the helm" quarterly, same red-wine register; the initials differ, so flag inferred, as printed).
