When: Gately "came wobbling in" as a new resident in YDPAH (2008), Court-Remanded out of the 5th Circuit (Peabody); the AA-works realization hit "about four months into his Ennet House residency"
What: Gately entered Ennet House as a detoxing new resident in YDPAH, "normally a gifted cynic" who at first hated AA and tried to get kicked out. About four months in he snapped to the shock that AA seemed to actually be working — days passing without craving oral narcotics. His burglar's "sensory triage" helped him last his nine residential months among 21 other newly-detoxed housemates. His sober date derives to a September Sunday ~YDPAH (see Dating notes).
