When: UNDATED (pre-Subsidized, the Weston "Volvoland" years, when Orin was ~7; C.T.'s emotional-recharge visit dated "the preceding spring" after the SkyDome snafu)
What: During a Weston episode in which JOI (ragged from Wild Turkey and holography) "thought Avril was dying right before his eyes," Tavis was upstairs on the portable StairMaster he'd brought for an extended post-SkyDome visit; he heard the commotion, "scuttled out and down and promptly took charge" (scene 071). Independently (scene 170): Orin, age seven, sat with a distraught Tavis in the Brigham & Women's OB/GYN waiting room while Avril prematurely and touch-and-goly delivered Mario, JOI in the delivery room. The narration elsewhere calls the sleeping Mario "the thing it's not entirely impossible he may have fathered" (scene 094) — surfacing, never resolving, a possible C.T.-fathered-Mario thread. Evidence surfaced, nothing resolved; as printed.
