The dog-kill: drawn off by Polynesian music, Green witnesses Lenz knife a Québecer's dog

• What: On the 11 Nov walk, distant Hawaiian party-music (event 4's trigger) mesmerizes Green away from Lenz and up the hill toward its source — a Québecer ("Nuck") beach-theme party at 412 W. Brainerd, a house draped with a Quebec flag. There Green happens back upon Lenz and, "rapt on levels he doesn't know he has," watches without calling out as Lenz lures the party's leashed dog with a chunk of Gately's meatloaf, straddles it from behind, and cuts its throat, saying what sounds like "How dare you," then vaults the fence and tears off toward Enfield as the enraged Nucks spill out. Green retreats behind a tree, an unwitting accessory; the Nucks, chasing Lenz, do not register him — "There's no evidence they're looking around for any other unwittingly guilty accessory-type party." This dog-kill is what brings the Nucks down on Ennet House (event 14).
