The Enfield AA group at the novel's recovery core: "The White Flag Group of Enfield MA" meets Sundays in the cafeteria of the Provident Nursing Home, a couple of blocks from the tennis academy's hill (pp. 343-344); it hosts visiting "Commitments" from other groups, and it is where Gately, Joelle, and the Ennet House residents attend meetings.
