Experialism

The novel's coined inversion of imperialism: instead of seizing territory, the Gentle-era United States forcibly gives a swath of it away — the "Reconfigured" toxic zone returned/gifted to Canada, "an intolerable blow to Canadian sovereignty" (p. 59). Schtitt decries training citizens for an "experialist and waste-exporting nation that's forgotten privation" (pp. 82-83); the Experialist migration dates from the Year of the Whopper (p. 93); reversing the arrangement is the A.F.R.'s reason for being (endnote 304, p. 1057).
