Context
Kate's second treatment proposal. She knows the feeling's duration from experience — a month at the outside — and what she's asking for is to be excused from living through it: lived time as the disease, unconsciousness as the dosage. Leans hard into depression-anhedonia, but it's the seconds-keep-coming line turned into a treatment plan.
