Eschaton: the gear-litter is the map
Pieces of tennis gear are carefully placed within each Combatant’s territories to mirror and map strategic targets. Folded gray-on-red E.T.A. T-shirts are MAMAs—Major Metro Areas.
Context
The strategic world is laid out entirely in laundry. Folded T-shirts are metro areas, motel-stolen towels are airfields and carrier groups, socks are missile installations, cast-off corporate sneakers are subs — the planet's targets rendered as a scatter of the players' own worn athletic kit across the composition surface. The territory of Eschaton is nothing but E.T.A.'s gear-bag emptied out and arranged; you fire tennis balls at the sweated-in clothes of the sport that produced you.
