A Clipperton-level legend involves the now long-gone little E.T.A. who in Y.W.-Q.M.D. had called MA’s Department of Social Services and characterized disciplinary Pukers as child abuse, resulting in the appearance at the portcullis of two stitchy-mouthed and humorless D.S.S.-ladies
Context
The Pukers' sub-rosa cover gets tested exactly once, and it holds. A vanished little E.T.A. phoned the Department of Social Services and named the disciplinary Pukers as "child abuse" — the one time someone refuses the cardiovascular-benefit alibi and calls the drills what they are. The state does send two humorless D.S.S.-ladies to the portcullis, but the outcome is that Schtitt has to confine "purply furious" deLint to his room, and the whistle-blower becomes legend by being "long-gone." The institution survives its accusation; the child who made it does not.
