the A.F.R. war aims: the real objective — a duplicable Master

The operational goal named under the strategic aim: possession of a Read-Only copy is not enough — "could this copy of DuPlessis itself be copied? This was the real objective: a Master cartridge." To deliver the "testicular frappe" the A.F.R. must be able to disseminate the Entertainment widely, which requires a duplicable Master, not a single playable copy. The whole endgame (the Antitoi search, the estate infiltration, 147's pivot) turns on this one technical-political requirement: a weapon is only macro-politically useful if it can be mass-produced.
