the émigré Canadians' brawl: filth creeps back — the film-scholar's experialist critique — "Me, I can remember when your…"

quote

Me, I can remember when your Charles was café with cream. Look now at it. It is the blue river.

Context

The prosthetic émigré film-scholar states the theme's physical refutation of experialism: "Fans do not begin to keep it all in the Great Convexity. It creeps back in... You cannot give away your filth and prevent all creepage." The ATHSCME border-fans cannot hold the waste; the gift returns. And his witness is the Charles River, "when your Charles was café with cream. Look now at it. It is the blue river" — the toxin-blued water proof that "filth by its very nature it is a thing that is creeping always back." Experialism's founding premise (that you can export your waste and be rid of it) fails on contact with physics, narrated by a Canadian who has watched it fail.
