Context
The last act's political mission stated in one paragraph: the A.F.R. pursue "two ways" to the Entertainment — the indirect route of surveilling and taking the auteur's associates for interview, and "the directer route—to locate and secure a Master copy... on their own," the reason "they were now still here, in the Antitois' shop," "turning all the stones." The strategic doctrine is the anthology's political engine for the endgame: the whole convergence on the Incandenza estate, the Antitoi raid, the Ennet House probes all follow from this two-track plan to obtain a duplicable weapon.
